OUR STORY

The company was born in 1978 by Claudio Elisei, young artisan who had alredy had experience on the machine Stoll, a leading knitwear. The new knitwear company immediately actived many collaboration, the most important of wich was the one that led to the development of “eco- knit” in the mid- '80s. The OMATEX machine park of the company, which initially consists of a single Rimatex, was increased in time, with the addition of specific machine for finishing-knitting Santagostino. These machine are now considered real industrial archeological finds. By the late '80s, during the transition between the last electromechanical machines and the very first "SHIMA SEIKI" electronic knitting was facing one of its most radical internal changes, during which, the knitting company saw necessarily forced to pursue new business strategies. In the early 90s the company began to apply the knitwear to health-care. Also during this period will be born "Elihorse" by knitwear factory "Eli6 ', followed by his son Michele; "Elihorse" will mainly focus on bandages riding in an attempt to tackle new markets.

Collaboration with companies at the top of the field orthotic and prosthetic will realize the common experiences in new choices, technically advanced for those years: for example the study of the early 'residual limb socks "made precisely through knowledge of Claudio when choosing a flat-machine COMET MARTINELLI, rare, but essential for the kind of processing tubular-knitting.

Since 2002, the knitwear factory "Eli6" works in partnership with local business leaders in the manufacturing of stockinette tubular undercast in pure cotton and polyester, in parallel with the production management of ambidextrous gloves without seams. The experience continued in recent years, despite the downturn evident in unstable markets, gave birth to Claudio and Michele, the idea of ​​being able to build on this foundation the new Eli-Sanitax, which now has the market with the modest task to provide properly and with quality materials the health-care sector national and international, related to stockinette tubular undercast, to lamination prosthetic and gloves.

New materials, such as nylon-glass and aramid, reflecting a more dynamic method of work, aimed at production processes conscious globalization which makes distances more and more affordable and blends different experiences with each other; the “choice” of the specific material, among the many samples, that are followed on a daily basis, is our “choice”.
